More frustrating news

We got this message today from our agency: "We heard today that due to 2 of MOWA staff being out for training they haven't been able to work in any of the open cases." This after hearing that they were feeling positive about our case passing by the end of last week, which obviously it didn't. We're not sure where this positive feeling was coming from based on this latest news. I am frustrated, disappointed and a little bit angry.

I'm so sorry Paula.
Pursuing an adoption can be very frustrating!

I clung to this verse from Psalm a lot

"Many are the plans of a man's heart, but it's the Lord's purpose that prevails"

When they are home, this period of the journey will seem so far away and small. I promise!

Paula, Thanks for your kind words of encouragement, all I can say is ditto to you. We will make it through this and hopefully soon we will be on our way to Ethiopia.

Guh, so frustrating! I agree with Steffany - I doesn't seem like it now, but once they're home, this will seem very small. Our enforced "time out" because of SARS really made no difference in the long run with our daughter!

Hi Paula. Janet Malsam here. Believe it or not, my boss in Tennessee and his wife are also adopting from Ethiopa...they have 4 biological kids and have just become parents of 3 siblings in Ethiopia. It's been a very long frustrating process for them as well but by God's grace they are now leaving on May 1st to go pick them up. Let me know if you would like a link to her blog. I'll be praying for you all.
Blessings, Janet

Thanks for your message on my blog. I am praying that things begin to move for your adoption. Sometimes I feel like they think we know what they are thinking when they send out an email. I acutally want an update each week, but I will take what I can get. :) My prayers are with you!

Oh, this journey can be so difficult at times. The waiting, the obstacles....

I keep having to remind myself that God is not surprised by any of the stalls, and that these kids come into their families when God has planned.

So sorry about the precious Easter dresses. Doesn't make sense to us mere humans.

Hang in there!

When they bloom I'll post pictures. We are having a high 70s day, so beautiful. We get a tease every now and then before the rain starts back up in a couple of days.
hope you hear something soon!

Your post resonated with me; we are stuck in the same place with our adoption...open court date, no news, and waiting, waiting, waiting.
I know how frustrated you're feeling!
Here's to all open cases passing this week! (or not!)
